Don’t look for flawless employees. There are none 2/2

How do you approach mistakes? In the first part from our CTO Milan Bodlák, we looked at different approaches to mistakes, why it is important to open up “forbidden” topics in a company, and practical instructions on how to use this in self-development and leadership. In the second part, we will look at what tools will help us detect even small, recurring mistakes and where to start working with mistakes.

Fortunately, various internal systems can make it easier to detect these partial, recurring errors. At Enehan, we use Salesforce, and we work on JIRA for projects. Data from all these systems can give us information about the trend in processing priced deliveries, the pace at which we draw down budgets. In what period do people focus on development, whether it is a continuous activity or just before the end of the quarter, for example. Whether the person in question does not have many meetings or spends a lot of time writing emails, etc.

For working with errors and detecting them, such systems are an invaluable helper. But be careful, as in other situations, in this case too they require the right mindset. Otherwise, it can very easily happen that a useful tool becomes just a whip for employees, and that is not the goal. So it is necessary to understand the data from the systems, always interpret it with caution. Two identical pieces of information about two employees do not necessarily mean the same thing.

Do you make mistakes too?
>>>>>>>>>>>lass=”yoast-text-mark” />>From a company perspective, however, individual rich people database work with mistakes and, let’s say, personal professional advancement is only one of the levels. For the advancement of the entire company, as well as the industry or even the entire society, it is important to share mistakes with others. It was only as an adult that I realized how necessary it is to talk and perceive our history. Even though I sometimes feel that some people are unteachable.

But back to the topic. If we take a closer look at sharing mistakes within the company, systems and technologies are also

very helpful in this regard. At our company, we try to share lessons learned “for better or worse” through discussions, workshops or by entering the information into the system. At our company, we work with the so-called “Wise Hole”, which is our company chronicle, which contains all kinds of wisdom and lessons learned, so that someone else can quickly follow up on what someone else has solved.

Anyone from the company can look into this “Wise Hole” and search for a problem or information based on ke

y te

rms.

In the chronicle, it is possible to find all the similar problems how consumer behavior influences marketing strategy that his colleagues had to face before him, he can look at the pitfalls they had to deal with and, for e

xamp

le, warnings about possible mista

kes. And also recommendations on how to best solve the problem.

Thanks to this “Wise hole”, we can talk about sharing mistakes and the reusability of well-chosen solutions. You might argue that learning from other people’s mistakes doesn’t work. That a person says to themselves, that won’t happen to me, I won’t burn out like that. Yes, it can happen, experiencing a mistake firsthand certainly has a greater effect.

Moreover, learning from other people’s mistakes requires personal humility and is incompatible with the mindset of “I can do everything better and no one needs to ad

vise

me”. If a person can do this, it can work. And knowledge of dangerous places where someone else got burned in the past can significantly help them in

managing the current problem they are facing. That is why I recommend everyone to start a company chronicle , it will definitely come in handy. Having people repeat the same mistake that leads to a loss on a project is not desirable.

If a person is really serious about mistakes, they can share thailand data heir or

the company’s knowledge outside the company. An ideal way to do this is, for example, through lectures at a universnd we try to do the same during lectures at VŠE or MUNI. So that everyone can see that the world outside is not black and white.

Personally, I have always been most fascinated by the Salesforce community, where a person, regardless of their company affiliation, can ask about a solution to a problem and others will help them, or they will naturally share instructions for solving the problem they were currently solving so that no one else has to deal

with

it.

Start with yourself.
But are you asking how to change the perception and work with errors, especially in your company or team? In my opinion, you have to start with yourself first, because the boss can always do th
