Recipe for pasta with a creamy sun-dried tomato and spinach sauce

 

Today I’m sharing with you my tried and tested recipe for pasta with a creamy sun-dried tomato and spinach sauce, which my kids devour even on days when they don’t feel like eating anything at all. The recipe is simple and quick, so I can always curry favor with them 😉

Ingredients:

  • 250 g pasta (e.g. penne, spaghetti, tagliatelle)
  • 200 g fresh dataset spinach
  • 100 g dried tomatoes in oil
  • 200 ml cream 30% or 18%
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 50 g grated parmesan (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • fresh basil for decoration (optional)

Preparation of ingredients: about 10-12 minutes

Cooking time: about 10-13 minutes

Preparation method

Cooking pasta:

  • In a large pot, boil water with a level teaspoon of salt.
  • Add the pasta and cook until al dente according to package instructions.
  • Drain, reserving half a cup of the cooking water.

Preparation of the sauce:

  • Heat the olive oil in a usa b2b list large frying pan.
  • Add the pressed garlic cloves and fry over medium heat for about 1 minute, until the garlic is fragrant.
  • Cut the dried tomatoes into small pieces and add them to the pan.
  • Fry for about 2-3 minutes, then add the washed spinach.
  • Fry everything together until the spinach wilts.
  • Pour the cream into the pan and mix thoroughly.
  • Simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Pasta and sauce combination:

  • Add the cooked pasta to the pan with the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add some of the reserved pasta cooking water.
